EXHIBITS

Temporary Exhibits - Items on Loan

Among the items we currently have on loan are a fully restored US Army escort wagon, Mountain Howitzer cannon, Sibley stove, and a 1929 Nash car.  Please check back for updates as these exhibits may change.

Please note:
We are in the process of revising our loaned item guidelines.  Over the next couple years, we will be starting to limit long term loans, but we will consider taking special items on short term loan.  These objects will receive extra publicity and will be featured in an area dedicated to changing exhibits.  If you have something you would like to share with museum visitors this way, please contact us!  These changes have been recommended by the State Historical Society to streamline record keeping, allow for a wider range of temporary displays, and limit insurance liability issues.

New Additions to the Collection

We are adding history to our collection monthly!  To see listings of recently acquired items, please go to the “Museum Committee” box on our “Home” page and click on the button.  This will bring you to postings of recent minutes, which include coverage of newly accessioned items.

If you are interested in permanently donating an item to the Dunn County Museum, please use the “Contact Us” form on this website, or give us a call.  Meetings of the Museum Committee are generally held monthly.  This group is tasked with deciding on the acceptance of additions to our collection, based on historical significance to Dunn County, and space availability, among other considerations.
